A good snake oil salesman knows,a promise of a cure-all,elixir of youth will inspire sales.In fact any good marketer will tell you,get the attention of your audience and keep them hooked to your message.And finally a good propagandist will tell you,keep retelling the story and you will get the support of the masses.

A man so used to fiction has ascended to a post,and enthroned himself as the Chosen One.What a marvel to behold when the Chosen one assembles with artistry people,hoodwinks them into believing that only he has solutions to all their problems and deliverance to the land of milk and honey,(even for the lactose-intolerant). He has perfected the art of good PR and pitches camp in all the top shows,radio and TV. He is also conspicuous online with his well-choreographed,edited,scripted plays of development in,the place to be.The photos are professionally done with bird's eye-view,side shots,worm-eye views and even him caressing newly launched this or that.
I wish to state here that all that glitters is not gold,and we need to distinguish good PR from from real development that can move this nation forward.Solutions of the peoples problem cannot be found in one man's vision,but collective movement of the people.A hastily pushed agenda only makes me doubt the thoroughness and due diligence conducted on them.
Speaking only on the field I can claim some form of expertise,health systems do not have their backbone on reactive,curative services provision.There are several pillars of the health system that have to be strengthened and least of which is the curative services provision.A whole treatise can be written on the choices he has made,but the major announcement he didn't mention even once in his health plan is preventive services provision.
My only comment is that all that is being done is myopic,transient and with no forethought or clear long-term plan.The results will be temporary alleviation of problems for short while before returning to ground zero.There is no way you can have a comprehensive health program in a short time by buying ambulances at the expense of preventive approach and with no clear thought of the pillars of success of the health system.
For now,I will just sit back and wait for when the s.... hit the fan and I will say,I told you so.
